Meet Christian, our long-suffering producer.  Couldn’t do the show without him.

Skipper Alan Hale’s Roman Orgy started as part of a series of fake album covers by Designer and Animator Chris Shapan.

I’ll admit, I was one of the ones who thought it was real when it came up on Facebook.  I can’t tell you how much I want to live in a world where it’s really a thing that exists – the soundtrack to a late-60s TV special, something just waiting to be found on YouTube, with guest star Paul Lynde, because Paul Lynde made everything fun back then.  We’re a few weeks late, but you have  seen the Paul Lynde Halloween Special, guest-starring Billy Barty, Mrs. Brady, and KISS?

Back in the VHS days there was a special thrill that came from finding something obscure, going to the right table at the convention, wandering into that sketchy comics shop two towns over, and becoming the only person you know who owned The Star Wars Holiday Special.  Or that Ren and Stimpy cartoon Nickelodeon wouldn’t show, or Roger Corman’s Fantastic Four.

Am I being an old curmudgeon, complaining about how easy you damn kids have it these days, so pull up your pants?  Quite the contrary; a world in which I can go from complete ignorance of Ringo Starr’s TV special, to downloading it, to watching it, in the space of two minutes, is a world I’m glad I live in.

On an unrelated note, Ghostbusters 3 is once again peeking out from Development Hell. I’m not saying we made this happen, but we totally made this happen.  Where shall we set our sights next?
